Abstract We read, with interest, the paper entitled "Acute‐onset smell and taste disorders in the context of Covid‐19: a pilot multicenter PCR‐based case‐control study". The authors observed that sudden loss of smell (LOS) was significantly more frequent in Covid‐19 patients (39%) than those infected with influenza (12%). These data corroborated the results of Yan et al.
